The Joy of Living By Faith
"Faith is a Verb"
-Jimmy Carter, Sunday School Teacher.
“So Faith, apart from works, is dead.”
-James 2: 26
“What you have done to the least of these you have done unto me.”
-Matthew 25:40
“What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God?”
-Micah 6:8
Why is the Bible calling us to put our Faith into action? Why was Jesus' life on this earth filled with deeds and not just words? William Barr says that God was revealed through Jesus Christ by his relationships with the people on the streets of Galilee.
We seek ways to experience abundant joy in our lives. The fulfillment and joy that come from doing what is pleasing to God transcends everything that this world can offer us. The truth of the Gospel: the only way to satisfy the soul is to walk humbly with our God.
In the coming weeks, let us explore the journey of the soul that makes our Faith authentic and acceptable in God's sight.
- Finding your calling
- Finding a community
- Finding Joy in Our Faith Journey
Begin each day with anticipation, asking God to allow you to be a blessing to someone. You will discover that being a blessing, you will find blessings.
God bless you.
