Be Still and Know That I Am God
Psalm 46:10

We are very busy people with hectic schedules, and taking time to be still is not in our daily routine. We may think we are not productive when we stay still and feel guilty because there is so much to do. To be still and know God takes regular practice. The mind starts wandering, and we start planning what we should be doing once this quiet time ends; that is not being still.

Set aside a moment to be still daily and become aware of God's presence. Don't worry about your mind wandering. Be aware of your breathing and keep repeating, "Your grace, O God is sufficient unto me," you will train your mind to be still.  If you keep practicing, you will begin to recognize God's presence is with you always, particularly at your most vulnerable moments when you seek God the most.

A beautiful hymn has this verse.

Fear not, I am with thee, Oh, be not dismayed,
for I am thy God, and will still give thee aid.
I'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,
Upheld by my righteous, omnipotent hand.

God bless you!
